Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Can Help You
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a non-invasive medical treatment in which a patients sits in an oxygen chamber with the air pressure increased 2 to 3 times higher than normal air pressure. Under these conditions, your lungs can gather much more oxygen than would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure.
The pressure increases the amount of oxygen at the cellular level, aiding the body’s natural healing process. The extra oxygen helps fight bacteria and triggers the release of substances called growth factors and stem cells, which promote healing. It also allows the oxygen to reach bone and tissue, increasing the white blood cell formation, and promotes the new creation of peripheral and capillary vessels.
New Sechrist monoplace chambers are used at our facility. Sechrist Industries are world-renowned for their chambers and have a reputation for quality, safety and dependability.
Highly-qualified hyperbaric technicians monitor the patient’s treatment from the beginning to end. (The patient is NEVER left unattended.) We have two physicians, who are trained in hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Prior to the start of each treatment, vital signs are taken and ears checked. For diabetics, blood sugar levels are taken. There are three phases to the treatment: compression, treatment time, and decompression.
During your treatment, you will experience pressure in your ears, much like what you feel during the ascent and descent in an airplane. Generally, patients experience no after effects from hyperbaric oxygen therapy. However, there are some patients that might experience side effects; the most common is ear and sinus squeeze and temporary visual changes.
The length of treatment depends on the diagnosis being treated, as well as the patient’s overall health. Treatments can range from 60 to 120 minutes.
Most health insurers, including Medicare, recognize hyperbaric oxygen therapy as being medically necessary and will usually cover expenses for recognized diagnoses. Call our billing department for further information and assistance with your coverage and reimbursement questions.

How does it work?
The higher air pressure allows your lungs to breathe in much more oxygen that would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure. The pressure increases the amount of oxygen at the cellular level, aiding the body’s natural healing process. The extra oxygen helps fight bacteria and triggers the release of substances called growth factors and stem cells, which promote healing.
It also allows the oxygen to reach bone and tissue, increases the white blood cell formation and promotes the new creation of peripheral and capillary vessels.
What type of chamber is used?
New Sechrist monoplaced chambers are used at our facility. Sechrist Industries are world renowned for their chambers and have a reputation for quality, safety and dependability.
Is the patient monitored throughout their treatment?
Highly qualified hyperbaric technicians monitor the patient from the beginning to end of treatment. The patient is never left unattended.

Radiation treatment for an oral tumor left me with a non healing cavity in my mouth. My doctor suggested Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Thanks to the wonderful care given to me at the Hyperbaric Services of the Palm Beaches.
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996. Since that time I have tried traditional medicinal therapies, homeopathy, accupuncture, MS diets, nutritional therapies, NAET, NET, vitamins, herbals, physical therapy and chelation.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000. Since then I have tried far too many traditional MS medications and alternative therapies to even list. I was horribly allergic to every one of the medications and have spent numerous nights.
